Rob Marshall ’88

Rob C. Marshall ’88 was recently recognized for his involvement with the National Kidney Foundation (NFK) for the past 15 years. During his tenure as chairman at the NKF Cadillac Golf Classic, he raised over $1 million. Not only was he recognized locally, but he was also recognized frob marshallor having one of the most successful golf tournaments in the nation.

Theta Chi Takes 1st in DG Anchor Splash

Theta Chi Wins DG Anchor Splash 2012Delta Gamma’s 32nd Annual Anchor Splash Event at Drake University –money raised goes to the Delta Gamma Foundation, which supports Service for Sight.

Fraternities and Sororities competed in events throughout the week.

Academic Adviser

Professor Tom Swartwood Drake University

 

This semester, the chapter has integrated our new member program to include regular meetings with our academic adviser, Professor Tom Swartwood. He is the director of the Entrepreneurship Program, and the meetings provide a clear vision on education and advice from a faculty mentor.

Philanthropy

Theta Chi Polar Plunge

 

For the third year in a row, the chapter organized a Polar Plunge. We had multiple events throughout the week where other fraternities and sororities participated to earn the most points for their chapter. All money raised was donated to the Special Olympics of Iowa.

Nolan Mitchell ’95

Nolan Mitchell ’95 knows all about brotherhood support. When he was a junior at Drake University, he and another Theta Chi brother were in a serious motorcycle accident on Forest Avenue. Nolan said while it was days and weeks of recovery, Gamma Tau brothers were always by his side. “It was amazing for my family to watch the brotherhood come together and make the tragedy a bit more bearable,”

Greg Field ’85

Greg Field- Drake Theta Chi '85Gregory L. Field ’85 passed on to Chapter Eternal on January 8, 2013. Greg was born in Peoria, Illinois, and grew up in Lake Forest. Greg was an advertising executive and worked for a variety of companies, including Leo Burnett, AT&T, Charter Communications, and Sprint. He was a senior partner with Moroch Partners.
